CV

My name is Amy E. Elkins (she/her/hers), and I’m an Associate Professor of English at Macalester College. Here is my CV:

Amy E. Elkins, PhD, is Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing at Macalester College where she teaches courses in 20th-21st century literature and culture and is a Digital Liberal Arts Faculty Fellow. As a scholar, artist, and writer, her work emphasizes dynamic approaches to research and student-driven inquiry–an approach rooted in research-creation, archive studies, and queer theory. She serves as the Modern Language Association’s elected delegate for Women and Gender in the Profession and is passionate about equity in higher education. She also edits the “Orientations” forum for Modernism/Modernity Print Plus where she promotes new work in writing across genres, collaborative approaches to research, queer archival studies, and more.

Her first book, Crafting Feminism from Literary Modernism to the Multimedia Present was published by Oxford University Press and has been re-issued as a paperback edition. Her essays have appeared in PMLA, Contemporary Literature, Interdisciplinary Literary StudiesModernism/Modernity Print+, and Post45, and she interviews writers for such places as the Los Angeles Review of Books and Novel Dialogue.

This website includes posts with publication news and upcoming talks, in addition to more information about my research, teaching, arts & humanities programs, and multimedia arts practice.
